Michele Stodart is a multi-award-winning singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and musical director. She is best known as bassist, vocalist and co-songwriter of Mercury-nominated, double-platinum selling band, The Magic Numbers, who have released five critically acclaimed studio albums with top ten singles, and supported the likes of Neil Young, Radiohead, Brian Wilson, U2, Flaming Lips and Bright Eyes. She continues to play with the band and tour world-wide with them.

Astrid Williamson, a Shetland born singer-songwriter, is about to release a collection of traditional Scottish songs and instrumentals reimagined for the 21st century. Titled Shetland Suite, It’s an evocative fusion of folk, electronics and field recordings. The Observer have given it 4 stars and described it as ‘a beautiful enchantment’. It’s a heartfelt tribute to her late mother, who introduced her to these songs. Astrid Williamson rose to prominence in the early 1990s with her band Goya Dress, whose first album ‘Rooms’ was produced by John Cale (Velvet Underground). She studied classical piano and composition at Scotland’s Royal Conservatoire, and over a career spanning almost three decades, as a vocalist, musician and co-writer, she has collaborated with artists including Johnny Marr & Bernard Sumner (as part of Electronic), Arthur Baker, Stereophonics, Leo Abrahams, This Mortal Coil / Hope Blister originator Ivo Watts-Russell, and Lisa Gerrard (Dead Can Dance/Hans Zimmer). She also appeared in Rob Newman’s BBC comedy series The History of The World Backwards as musical director, song arranger and performer. Her songs have appeared in films such as Bill Forsyth’s Gregory’s Two Girls.
